Virtualization / bhyve
« on: September 21, 2017, 01:23:07 PM »
After iX burning the coral and problems with 11 upgrade, I've decided to move strait to FBD. Next logical step: bhyve.

Although bhyve still in development I was able to move all my VMs (I don't use windows, but created one just for the same of it) to bhyve. Found out a very good tool: vm-bhyve, that make the vm creation pretty easy.

I'd recommend you guys testing it.

Off-Topic Therapy / Porn

Really? I though this was an IT forum. Ok to vent on other subjects on off-topic therapy, but porn give me a break!

ah ... Configuration > Actions > Operations > Operation Type = Link to Template > Select templates.

These are good instructions, but you are missing a whole lot of Zabbix configurations in between setting a new system password and accessing the webgui, I have alot of this wirtten up in a document here as generic notes, but ost of that information is also found in the documentation:

I'll add the missing parts, but basically what I saw missing are: ssh setup, some passwords, vmware tool, and time zone.

I'm still lost on:

Link to templates: Template SNMP Device, Template SNMP Disks, Template SNMP Generic, Template SNMP Interfaces and Template SNMP Processors
Enable host
Set host inventory mode: Automatic

Where are you configuring that?

I had some extra time:!AsAq2Gec9J71lid2xLidJdi_sbU6

Got lost here:

Link to templates: Template App Zabbix Agent
Enable host
Set host inventory mode: Automatic

Tomorrow will continue with Edd's instructions for Discovery.

P.S. For obvious reasons, suggestions and changes should be submitted as posts on this thread.
P.S. 2. Going forward I'll post in pdf format, so people will be less concerned ... but wait ... I also can send virus inside a pdf  ::)

As posted on FB, working on this guide and would love a way to collaborate, so creating this post with this intent.

Initially here and when the final doc is ready, we can move to a How To section.

I'll be posting the document on-line at onedrive as I don't use it and all space is available. I'll post the link when it is there.

Got it. One has to go to all areas and enable each one of them. Let see if notifications will start flowing now.

I see "Notify", not notification. Notify is turning notification for the post, not the forum.

Dear Gurus,

How can I setup notifications for posts on this forum? Sorry for the noob question, but I'm just getting started with this.
